Birdy Nam Nam – Abbesses

Within this past year, I got introduced to what Hip-Hop really is by my homebwoi. Took me “under his wing” you can say. My interests has pretty much expanded. A year ago I wouldn’t have thought Birdy Nam Nam was interesting at all. Team of 4 DJs, hailing from Paris, Crazy-B, DJ Pone, DJ Need and Little Mike. Among their accolades, winners of the DMC Technics 2002 World Team Championships. This is them performing “Abbessess”.

Xbox 360 250GB

Microsoft announced the updated version of the Xbox 360 console, titled the Xbox 360 250GB. This announcement was made just before the E3 Expo 2010. Among the new Xbox 360 features, it has a smaller design, larger internal hard drive and Wi-Fi 802.11n support. As far as design, smaller than the recent 360, touch sensitive buttons instead of the mechanical buttons for the power and disc eject functions, an upgrade from 3 USB 2.0 ports to 5 (2 in the front, 3 in the back) and using a single larger fan instead of two smaller fans; the older 360 was criticized for the loud noise during game play.

Downfall is the incompatibility of the new console with older hard drives. Only way you can transfer your games and data is by purchasing their 16GB flash drive for $20. -__- Check out the pictures.

Russel Simmon’s Book Cover Contest

A few months ago, Russel Simmons posted a blog about his upcoming book, Rich, Inside and Out: A Handbook For Life. Instead of hiring someone to create him a book cover, he simply made it into a contest. Unfortunately I didn’t win but, I tried. The winner can be found at GlobalGrind.com. Here’s my submission.

Bonus: MF Doom’s “Christmas with Doom” on [adult swim]

Bonus +1: MF Doom – Accordion (Music Video)

Snoop Dogg – That Tree (Music Video)

I saw this video on mute with my homeboi and we just stared at it laughing. Snoop and Cudi had to be high in this. The dance moves Cudi does is hilarious. Nice song though.

F.I.R.M. Family

One of the greatest accolades my fraternity, has is the assistance of founding another fraternity. Brother Baltazar Mendoza-Madrigal assisted 17 men in creating a Latino-based fraternity in the spring of 1986, Sigma Lambda Beta, thus making us “primos.” Their sister organization, Sigma Lambda Gamma, founded in 1990, thus became our “primas.” In addition to Sigma Lambda Beta, Phi Beta Sigma assisted in the founding of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, and are the only constitutionally bound fraternity and sorority within its council, the National Pan-Hellenic Council. These four Greek organizations make up the F.I.R.M. Family, the Royal Family and the only family. To show my love, here’s a desktop wallpaper for my family. ::download allowed::
